Little River Hot Glass: Small Flat Vortex Vase

The vortex vases are characterized by subtle, painterly swirls of color with a complementary or contrasting collar and a narrow profile are the hallmarks of this round, flattened vase. The visual overlap of color from each side is a result of the flattening process and produces a soft criss-cross pattern. Place it in direct sunlight or with proper indoor lighting and enjoy the magnificent shadows cast.

About Little River HotGlass Studio:

Michael Trimpol and Monique LaJeunesse's work explores the nature of the glass. They feel a particular love for glass in it's molten state, and they channel that love into the creation of objects of beauty and originality: vases, perfume bottles, and more.
The artists work with glass using traditional techniques, gathering and blowing the molten glass until each piece achieves the balance and harmony they are striving for. They often incorporate processes such as cold working, sandblasting, cutting, and polishing in order to accentuate or focus on characteristics of the material
