Trish Duggan is an accomplished artist and author, experienced entrepreneur, human rights advocate and dedicated philanthropist who has committed much of her life and work toward improving the lives of human beings globally.
Trish has been inspired by Japan, Japanese art and the Japanese people since she was a young child.
The year she spent studying at the Jesuit school Nanzan University, in Nagoya was incredibly enlightening for her. She studied the language intensively as well as culture, sociology and woodblock print making. She is the only cast glass artist who uses her woodblock to press into the sand and pour glass into the impression.
Ms. Duggan is working to change the history of art within her lifetime through her promotion, support, and participation in the contemporary glass art movement. Having created thousands of her own art pieces over the years in addition to collecting art from other talented artists around the globe, Ms. Dugan chose to sponsor the creation of Imagine Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. The purpose of Imagine Museum is to uplift, inspire, and educate our culture through this gorgeous medium of glass.
